The San Leon Volunteer Fire Department is actively seeking new volunteers. As part of its commitment to growing the team, the department will expand its training program for 2026. The upcoming program will include drills, classes, training academies, and specialized training opportunities tailored to fit the busy schedules of its members. Community members considering becoming San Leon Volunteer Firefighters are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.

In response to recruitment and retention challenges, the San Leon Volunteer Fire Department has launched the Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment Campaign. This effort aims to raise public awareness about the need for fire service volunteers and to successfully recruit and retain new members. As part of this campaign, department representatives will be present at various public places throughout the community to answer questions and assist interested individuals with the application process.

Additionally, recruiters will be available at the fire station every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 PM to 9 PM to provide information and help community members get started on their volunteer journey. Those interested are encouraged to visit the station, ask questions, and begin the application process. Fires can happen at any time—now is the time to join the ranks of San Leon’s volunteer firefighters.
