| The San Leon Volunteer Fire Department remains committed to maintaining efficiency, effectiveness, and preparedness in all fireground operations. On Tuesday nights, training activities emphasized advancing attack lines, pump operations, establishing water supply, and extending fire attack lines using a variety of tools and techniques to meet specific objectives. Firefighters participated in realistic scenarios, working together to complete assigned engine-company tasks. Speed, efficiency, and clear communication during fire response are vital. Quickly establishing a dependable water supply and advancing attack lines can help contain a fire, protect the remainder of a property, and most importantly, improve the chances of rescuing anyone who may be trapped inside. Every second and every assignment counts, and every team member plays an essential role. Training is an ongoing priority for the San Leon Volunteer Fire Department, as the community relies on members to be prepared whenever an emergency arises. |
