San Leon Rescue 1 and Engine 1 arrived on scene to find both vehicles heavily damaged. Rescue 1 personnel immediately began securing the vehicles, checking for trapped occupants, and helping to ensure scene safety. Members also assisted with patient care alongside EMS crews.

Firefighters assisted with triage and patient care for both drivers. Both individuals were transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
