| The reality is that operating a volunteer fire department is a full-time responsibility—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Tuesday and Thursday training nights are not enough to handle everything required to keep this department ready. Behind every emergency response are countless hours of training, truck inspections, equipment checks, vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and ensuring every apparatus is operational and presentable when the tones drop. We take tremendous pride in what we do, and we are grateful and blessed to serve a community that continues to stand behind us. Today, several of our members are once again giving up their personal time to finish what we could not complete during the week—washing and detailing our trucks, checking our equipment, and preparing everything for the next call. Because emergencies do not follow a schedule—and neither does our commitment to this community. We don’t do it for a paycheck. We do it because when you call, we must be ready. |
