San Leon experienced an exciting two days of community spirit and celebration. The events began on October 30 at San Leon Elementary, where families gathered for a lively Halloween event. On Halloween day, despite forecasts of unfavorable weather, the skies cleared to allow for a successful Halloween Golf Cart Parade, which concluded at the San Leon Volunteer Fire Department.

The festivities continued at the fire station with a haunted house, attracting a large turnout and creating lasting memories for many residents. The event was marked by excitement, laughter, and strong participation from the community.

These gatherings highlight the importance of community involvement in San Leon. Residents, local organizations, and volunteers worked together to create memorable events and foster strong neighborhood connections.

The San Leon Volunteer Fire Department extends its gratitude to several key contributors:

The San Leon Elementary PTO Team organized a well-attended and enjoyable event for local families. Special thanks go to Mrs. Di and her team for their efforts in planning the Halloween Golf Cart Parade, which showcased outstanding community engagement. Christopher Flores and Leslie dedicated significant time and creativity to helping transform the fire station for the haunted house, making the event a memorable success.

The Texas City Independent School District ROTC, along with Major Nash, played a significant role by providing enthusiastic and dedicated cadets who helped bring the haunted house to life. Their participation was greatly appreciated and added to the event’s success.

San Leon Volunteer Firefighters also deserve recognition for their commitment. Each member devoted personal time to prepare the fire station, assist with events, and ensure everyone’s safety, all while continuing to respond to emergency calls in the area.

These events demonstrated the strong sense of teamwork and dedication present in San Leon. Despite being a small community, residents, organizations, and volunteers united to achieve outstanding results. The fire department thanks everyone who supported these efforts and looks forward to future events that continue to strengthen community bonds.

Community members who attended the haunted house are encouraged to share their feedback and experiences.
