San Leon Fire Department Annual Life Flight - Air Ambulance Training

San Leon Fire Department conducted its annual Life Flight air ambulance training. The FD set up a special training class on February 9 at 6:30 PM and was held at the Central Fire Station. The Bacliff fire department also attended the training, they were invited since they are one of our primary mutual aid departments and we work together multiple times throughout the year.
The training covered the setup, managing of the LZ, patient loading, and general safety procedures while operating around the aircraft. The training was presented by the pilot and the flight crew, and they covered the do's and don’ts, and what they prefer in setting up the LZ and operating around the aircraft. This training was very informative and will help us be more effective, efficient, and safer while setting up the LZ and operating around the aircraft in an emergency incident.
