On the morning of June 1 at approximately 7:09, AM San Leon Fire was dispatched to a report of an MVA in the 900 block of Avenue H. Upon the arrival of engine one it was discovered there had been an accident involving two motor vehicles in the intersection of Avenue H and Ninth Street a.k.a. state highway 517, one vehicle was blocking the southbound lane and one vehicle was off the roadway. Engine one's crew assisted Galveston EMS with two patients which were eventually transported to a local medical facility. Then engine one was assigned to stand by with Galveston Sheriff’s Department while the vehicles were recovered and removed from the roadway at approximately 8:10 AM the roadway was clear in San Leon Fire was back in service.
